Shepard Symposium on Social Justice

In legislatures across the United States, attacks on LGBTQ people and reproductive rights are growing at an alarming rate. Many of these assaults are rooted in the rise of white supremacist, Christian nationalism. Though some see racism, women's equality, LGBTQ justice and reproductive rights as separate issues, we in fact are fighting the same destructive ideology. In this conversation, Jamie Manson will discuss the historic and religious roots of these attacks, and how, in this moment where hard-won civil rights are facing unprecedented threats, we can find ways to unite and have each other's backs.
